In 2014, White's second year with the program saw the Flames post a 41-18 record and receive the program's first-ever at-large selection to a NCAA Regional.
In his first year in the role, the Flames captured the 2013 Big South Championship.
White also coaches with the Roanoke Rails of the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League during the summer, serving as an assistant coach. In addition, he works with several summer baseball camps.
White is a graduate of nearby James River High School. He pitched and played first base for the Knights and was named first team all-region in 2011 and 2012 and was a four-time all-district selection. His senior year he was a first team all-state selection and played in the VHSL All-Star game. James River captured the district title in each of White's four seasons with the team.
A native of Boetetourt, Va., White will complete his bachelor’s degrees in sports management with a minor in business this May.
