Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, April 30, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Starting with baseball, the Flames pick up another win over the ACC. Tuesday night in Blacksburg, Liberty downed Virginia Tech, 13-4. The Flames pounded out a season-high 19 hits to win their sixth game over an ACC opponent this year. Flames Head Coach Bradley LeCroy on his team's outburst.
"Yeah, situational hitting was outstanding. Guys getting on in front of them, creating innings. Then we had a couple of two out hits, as well, but, you know, really proud of the guys."
Liberty travels to Sam Houston this weekend for a three-game Conference USA series, beginning Friday.
On to softball, Liberty is on the road at Virginia tonight. First pitch in Charlottesville is at 6 p.m. Eastern. A win would boost Liberty's resume for the NCAA Tournament. Liberty's RPI is currently 27, while UVA is 26.
