LYNCHBURG, Va. – High Point won the final two sets, claiming a 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 25-18, 25, 25-16) victory over Liberty, Sunday at Liberty Arena.
The Panthers (3-2) went 2-0 at this weekend's Liberty Mountain Madness, including wins over Lamar and Liberty. The Lady Flames (3-3) posted a 1-1 record this weekend, sweeping Lamar on Friday and falling to High Point today.

- High Point outhit Liberty .240-.126 for the match, while the Panthers also led in blocks (12-7) and aces (9-6). The Lady Flames held a 52-50 advantage in digs.
- Elodie Lalonde scored a match-high 16 kills for High Point, while Maya Bucovcan followed with nine kills, three aces and six blocks. Remy Catojo recorded a double-double with 31 assists and 11 digs, to go along with three kills and five blocks. Addison Freeland posted eight kills and five blocks. Kea Whillock collected 12 digs.
- Liberty's Laney Daniell tied her career high with 13 kills, hitting .600 while adding two aces and three blocks. Alison Bierwagen dished out 25 assists, while Melis Ural collected a match-high 16 digs. Carly O'Brien totaled six kills and 11 digs, while Paige Overcash (seven kills) and Layla Collins (six kills) had three blocks each.
- Liberty tied the match at one set apiece, holding the Panthers to a .071 hitting percentage during a 25-18 second-set victory.
- The Panthers responded in the third, leading by as many as nine points on the way to a 25-18 win. High Point closed out the match in the fourth, 25-16.
- Liberty leads High Point 33-20 all-time in volleyball. The Lady Flames had won the last meeting between these two teams, 3-2, on Aug. 31, 2023 in a tournament at Army West Point. High Point's last win over the Lady Flames prior to today was a 3-1 Panthers victory on Aug. 27, 2022.
