
Women’s Tennis Hosts Pair of Matches this Weekend

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The No. 70 Liberty women's tennis team (6-3) is set to host a pair of matches this weekend, meeting Marshall on Friday at 5 p.m. and welcoming East Carolina on Sunday at noon. The matches will be played outside at the Liberty Tennis Complex, but the matches could be moved to the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center depending on the weather.
The Lady Flames have had more than a week following a stretch of three matches in five days. Liberty fell on the road with 5-2 losses at Elon and Wake Forest before returning home to sweep Queens.
Liberty will be pitted against Marshall for the first time in five years. The team seeks to improve on a 2-6 all-time record with their last match a narrow 4-3 loss in 2021. The Lady Flames look to even the score against East Carolina, currently sporting a 3-4 all-time mark against the Pirates. Liberty last met ECU in 2023, securing a 4-2 triumph.
