
Gregory Named Conference USA Men’s Golfer of the Week

Following a top-five finish at an individual event over the weekend, Liberty's Andrew Gregory has been named this week's Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Gregory led Liberty's individual performers at the Coach Sykes Individual tournament, hosted by NC State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C., last Saturday. The event was shortened to a 36-hole tournament due to inclement weather.
The junior finished the event tied for third in the 76-man field with a 7-under par 135 (66-69).
Gregory finished tied for fourth in the field in both birdies (10) and pars (27). He also ranked third best in the field with only three bogeys in 36 holes of action.
The native of Inman, S.C. ranked second in the field in par-4 scoring (3.78/-4) and tied for fourth in par-3 scoring (2.80/-2).
The tournament field included individual golfers from programs like Tennessee, Virginia, NC State, South Carolina, Charlotte, Notre Dame, Kent State and UNCW.
Gregory is the second Flame to win a conference weekly award this season. Michael Lugiano was also named CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week on October 22, following his fourth-place finish at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational during Liberty's final team event of the fall season.
