Athletics Department GPA Reaches New Record of 3.41 during Fall 2025 Semester

With another academic semester now in the books, Liberty's student-athletes have once again posted an all-time record high GPA.

Liberty Athletics finished the Fall 2025 semester with a 3.41 cumulative GPA, marking the highest end-of-semester GPA in athletics department history.

Overall, the cumulative GPA for Liberty's 500-plus student-athletes has risen 16 out of the last 18 semesters.

Additionally, all 20 of Liberty's NCAA Division I athletics programs now have a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher. This feat has been achieved each of the last three academic semesters (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Fall 2025).

Individually, a total of 122 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester. Overall, 68 student-athletes finished the first semester of the academic year with an unblemished 4.0 cumulative GPA.

At the conclusion of the Fall 2025 semester, 429 student-athletes are maintaining a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA (79.6 percent).

Walking alongside the Flames' student-athletes is Liberty's highly dedicated Academic Affairs for Athletics staff. This team provides Liberty's student-athletes with all the needed tools to excel in the classroom.

This group of committed individuals spends countless hours each week providing academic assistance and guidance for Liberty's 500-plus student-athletes. Their staff continues to help Liberty student-athletes thrive in their pursuit of academic, athletic, social and spiritual development.

The top team GPA in the athletics department continues to be Liberty's women's swimming & diving program. The Lady Flames, who have won seven-consecutive conference titles, finished the Fall 2025 semester with a 3.70 team GPA. Overall, they hold a 3.75 cumulative GPA.

Liberty's women's lacrosse program posted the top team GPA during the Fall 2025 semester with a 3.76 mark. Fresh off the program's first-ever ASUN Conference title last season, the team is maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.66.

Liberty's top men's program continues to be the men's tennis team. The Flames posted a 3.58 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester and are maintaining a 3.60 cumulative GPA.

All three of Liberty's programs who won a conference title during the fall season also are excelling in the classroom.

Liberty's women's soccer program captured the Conference USA title and finished the Fall 2025 semester with a 3.73 GPA. Overall, the team has a cumulative 3.69 GPA.

The Lady Flames' field hockey team won its third BIG EAST title in school history and finished the year ranked No. 6 nationally. The team posted a 3.48 GPA during the Fall 2025 semester and has a 3.53 cumulative GPA.

Liberty's women's cross country team won its second-consecutive Conference USA title. The squad recorded a 3.63 Fall 2025 GPA and his holding a 3.62 cumulative GPA.
