Liberty WBB’s Thursday CUSA Home Opener Moved to 5 p.m.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty's CUSA home opener against Sam Houston on Thursday will now begin two hours earlier than originally scheduled. Tipoff has been moved to 5 p.m. at Liberty Arena.
The game will match up two of the four remaining unbeaten teams through the opening week of CUSA action. The Lady Flames (8-5, 2-0 CUSA) opened defense of their CUSA title with victories at New Mexico State (67-62 on Friday) and UTEP (86-66 on Sunday). Meanwhile, Sam Houston (8-4, 1-0 CUSA) posted a 67-64 triumph at CUSA preseason favorite Louisiana Tech on Friday.
Liberty owns a 5-0 all-time record against the Bearkats. Most recently, Liberty took the first step toward its 2025 CUSA championship with a 78-51 decision over Sam Houston in the quarterfinals on March 12, 2025.
