Liberty to Host Longwood Tuesday

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Off a 3-0 victory over the VMI Keydets on Thursday, the Liberty Flames will welcome the Longwood Lancers to Osborne Stadium on Tuesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Flames enter the match unbeaten with a 3-0-1 mark. Tuesday's game begins a stretch of three home matches for head coach Kelly Findley's team as they will also host James Madison on Saturday and UNCG on Sept. 19.

Liberty and Longwood will meet for the fourth consecutive year and the 31^st time in their program's histories. Last season, the two teams tied 2-2 at Longwood.

Liberty is 2-0 at Osborne Stadium this season. The Flames opened the season with wins over Regent (9-0) on Aug. 21 and USC Upstate (3-1) on Aug. 24.
The Flames' shutout at VMI on Thursday was its second of 2025. Liberty had a clean sheet in its win over Regent in its season opener on Aug. 21.
Liberty has outscored its opponents, 16-2, so far this season.
The Flames have limited their opponents to an average of six shot attempts per game.
Sam Farner, Leo Conneh and Zach Lifferth each scored in the Flames' win at VMI on Thursday. Liberty has scored three or more goals in three of its four games.
Farner leads the Flames in scoring with eight points. He is tied for the team lead in goals with three and has two assists.
Conneh and defender Lucas Kelly are tied with Farner with three goals each. Conneh also has an assist for seven points.
Liberty goalkeeper Tyler Beck has posted a 0.50 goals-against average and a 0.846 save percentage during the four games. He made four saves in recording his second shutout of the season at VMI on Thursday.
