Liberty placed two of its top returning players on the 2025 HERO Sports Preseason Group of Five All-American teams.
    Â
Liberty's starting center Aaron Fenimore was a second-team preseason selection, while returning tight end Jacob Jenkins was named to the third-team preseason listing.
    Â
The pair were two of the seven Conference USA players named to the 2025 HERO Sports Preseason Group of Five All-American teams.
    Â
Joining them on the list from the league were FIU defensive back Brian Blades and quarterback Keyone Jenkins, New Mexico State linebacker Tyler Martinez and Western Kentucky offensive lineman Marshall Jackson.
    Â
This adds to a growing list of preseason accolades for Fenimore. He has also been named to the Outland Trophy (nation's most outstanding interior lineman), Rimington Trophy (nation's most outstanding center) and the Lombardi Award (nation's best lineman) watch lists.
    Â
Fenimore had a breakout season in 2024 after moving into the starting center role the week prior to the start of the regular season due to an injury on the offensive line.
    Â
The native of Senoia, Ga., was named to The Athletic Freshman All-America team, VaSID All-State Offensive Rookie of the Year, VaSID All-State second team and Conference USA All-Conference first team.
    Â
Fenimore started all 12 games at center and led the offensive line in total snap count (825). He saw playing time in a team-high 96.0 percent of Liberty's total offensive plays (825-of-859).
    Â
He finished the year with a 73.7 percent PFF.com offensive grade. The rating ranked second best among starting centers in Conference USA in 2024.
    Â
Fenimore helped the Flames finish the 2024 season ranked No. 4 in the country in rushing offense (250.7 yards per game) and No. 20 in fewest interceptions allowed (7).
    Â
Jenkins has also had some preseason recognition as he was named to the Athlon Sports CUSA Preseason All-Conference third-team and to the Conference USA Preseason watch list.
    Â
The native of Hoover, Ala., saw playing time in all 12 games in 2024, starting four contests. He finished the season with 10 receptions for 99 yards, averaging 9.9 yards per reception. He was one of five players on the team with multiple touchdown receptions, finishing the year ranked third on the team with two touchdowns.
    Â
Jenkins, now in his third year on the Mountain, ranked seventh on the team in offensive snap count in 2024 (457 snaps by PFF.com). He also ranked first on the team in offensive snap by a tight end.
