Six Featured on CSC Academic All-District® Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Four Flames and two Lady Flames were selected to the CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-District Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, the organization announced.

Joaquim Almeida, Ernst Gouws, Chase Robinson and Carl Roothman were selected from the men's tennis team. Daniella O'Neill and Maria Turchetto were chosen to the women's tennis team.

All six student-athletes are being represented for the first time as Liberty representatives. Six athletes included, tops last year's total of two, with Deji Thomas-Smith and Esther Lovato selected for the award.

Chase Robinson was named to the 2025 Conference USA Men's Tennis All-Academic team earlier this season.

To earn inclusion on the academic all-district team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have played in at least 70 percent of their team's games and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as both an undergraduate and a graduate student (if applicable).
