Liberty Softball Ranked No. 21 in 2 Major Top 25 Polls

The Liberty softball teams in ranked No. 21 in two major national Top 25 polls this week.
The Lady Flames were ranked No. 21 in the Softball America Top 25 Poll yesterday. Liberty is ranked No. 21 in the D1Softball Top 25. The team appears No. 25 on the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
Liberty is listed among "others receiving votes" on the NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Lady Flames have appeared in the Top 25 of at least one national poll in each of the last 11 releases (2024 postseason, 2025 preseason, weeks 1-9). That is the longest streak of consecutive Top 25 appearances in program history.
The D1Softball Top 25 poll is voted on by a group of national analysts and media members who cover the game on a consistent basis.
The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA's Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10 a.m. throughout the regular season.
The ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll is voted on by coaching representatives from nine Division I Conferences in the 10 USA Softball Regions as well as members of National and Local media who consistently cover Division I softball across the country.
The Lady Flames (33-8, 13-1 CUSA) went 2-2 last week, falling at No. 11 Virginia Tech before earning a 2-1 home series victory over Middle Tennessee. Liberty is 6-6 against Power Conference opponents this season and has a win over No. 12 Alabama to its credit.
Liberty will host Virginia tonight at 6 p.m. at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium. The Cavaliers were ranked No. 25 in last week's NFCA Top 25 Poll, but are listed among "others receiving votes" in today's polls.
