Another top-10 finish this season has led to a second weekly honor for Liberty's Ike Joy, who has been named this week's CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week.
The redshirt junior finished tied for sixth place at The Hayt, carding a 4-under par 212 (72-69-71) at the Sawgrass Country Club (par 72, 6,966 yards) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
This is the second weekly conference honor of the season for Joy. He was also selected as the CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week on November 6 following a fourth-place finish at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational.
The Hayt featured a 15-team tournament field which included 10 top-50 ranked programs and three top-10 ranked teams.
No. 4 Texas, the top ranked team in the field, won the event with a come-from-behind victory by shooting a winning score of 18-under par 826 (290-274-282).
Joy finished ahead of 18 nationally ranked players in the 84-man field. This elevated his individual national ranking from No. 146 going into the event to No. 92 in the newly released national rankings.
The native of Denver, N.C., led the tournament field with 43 pars, posting a par score on 43-of-54 holes played at the North Florida hosted event. He also ranked third in the field in par-3 scoring (scoring average of 2.92).
Joy posted a second-round score of 3-under par 69 at The Hayt, his fifth sub-70 round of the season. He now leads the Flames on the season with eight rounds at par or better (8-of-12 rounds/66.7 percent).
Joy has finished inside the top 10 in three of his four events during the 2024-25 season: (T10 at the Rod Myers Invitational; T4 at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational; T6 at The Hayt).
