• The Liberty Flames take to the road for the first time this season when they travel to Raleigh, N.C., for a game against the No. 12 NC State Wolfpack. The first pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Doak Field at Dahl Park. The Flames and Wolfpack will be meeting for the first time since 2009 on Tuesday.Â
• Liberty will open the season by sweeping a three-game series from the St. John's Red Storm at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium this past weekend. With the win in their opener, the Flames are now 30-21 in season openers since 1976 and 14-4 at home.
• Liberty was picked fifth in the 2025 Conference USA Preseason Poll. The Flames finished fifth in their first season in the conference last year with an 11-13 record.
• Bradley LeCroy was named the eighth head coach in Flames' history in July 2024. He is in his third year as a head coach after two years at VCU.

For Openers
• For the second consecutive season, Liberty opened swept its season opening series at home. The Flames opened their season at home this past Friday, the first time since the 1995-1996 seasons that the Flames have opened back-to-back campaigns at home. (1995- Win over ETSU 12-7 on Feb. 27; 1996 - Win over James Madison on Feb. 26).
• Liberty has only opened its season at home three times in the last 20 years.
• Last season, the Flames opened their 2024 season with a 10-0 victory over Quinnipiac on Feb. 16.Â
• With its victory on Friday in game one, Liberty is 30-21 in season lid-lifters since 1976 (no records available for 1974 or 1975) and 15-4 at home.
• The 2025 season is the 13th year at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium for the Flames. Liberty has posted a 11-2 record in home openers at the stadium since its opening.
• Liberty has won 10 straight home openers.

Blair Named CUSA Pitcher of the WeekÂ
• Sophomore right-hander Ben Blair has been selected the CUSA Pitcher of the Week for the first weekend of the 2025 season.
• Blair, who picks up his first CUSA Pitcher of the Week honor, pitched six shutout innings, combining with relievers Caleb Lingenfelter and Tyler August for a 3-0 blanking of the St. John's Red Storm in game two of a doubleheader at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium on Friday. The sophomore scattered five hits, striking out 11 and walking two batters. He did not allow a batter past second base during his outing.
• He set career highs for innings pitched and strikeouts. Mainly a relief pitcher last season, the right-hander had never pitched more than four innings in an outing in 2024. In addition, He had never struck out more than four in a game last season.
• The right-hander was selected to the 2025 CUSA Preseason All-Conference team by the conference's head coaches.Â
