NEWARK, Del. - The Liberty volleyball team raced to a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-18, 25-18) over Delaware, Saturday at the Bob Carpenter Center. Â
Liberty improves to 18-7, 6-6 in Conference USA play after a pair of wins over Delaware this weekend. The Blue Hens (7-14, 4-8) have lost each of their last six matches.

Notable Numbers
- Liberty outhit Delaware .283-.140 for the match. The Lady Flames led in kills (46-30), aces (6-1) and digs (45-33), while the Blue Hens held an 8-7 edge in blocks.
- Paige Overcash and Jenna Otts tied for the match high with 12 kills each, as Overcash hit .476. Carly O'Brien scored 11 kills at a .458 pace. Addie Fielder registered career highs in assists (19) and digs (9). Molly Littlefield collected a match-high 15 digs. Laney Daniell tied her career high with eight kills while adding four blocks. Littlefield and Audrey Heiring both served up two aces.
- Sila Ozyurek led Delaware with eight kills, while Asia Murray posted a match-high six blocks. Aubrey Lyssy dished out 15 assists, while Cadence Nguyen collected nine digs.
- Although the match featured 17 ties and nine lead changes, Liberty built comfortable leads in all three sets, not letting Delaware reach 20 points in any set.
- Liberty leads the all-time volleyball series with Delaware, 8-4. Prior to this weekend, the last meeting between these two teams was a Blue Hens win in 2009.
- This is the first time since Sept. 27-28, 2024 at Louisiana Tech that the Lady Flames won both games of an away CUSA weekend series.
- Today was Liberty's eighth sweep of the season and first since posting a 3-0 win over Louisiana Tech, Sept. 27. That was also the last time that Liberty held an opponent under 20 points in all three sets of a match.
- Today was the 11th time this season that O'Brien, Otts and Overcash all reached double figures in kills.
- Otts has scored 10 or more kills a team-high 22 times this season, including in each of the last nine matches. Otts also had nine straight 10-kill matches, Sept. 12-27.Â
