Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
It was a beautiful campus when I came to visit, and every staff member was extremely welcoming to me. I felt at home. Being at a Christ-centered university was huge for me to grow in my walk and be surrounded by like-minded people. I love people and everyone has great things to say about their relationships here. I can play volleyball at a high level. The coaches were very welcoming and open to me. The Lord definitely led me to Liberty and that is why I chose it.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My older sister and my mom both inspire me in my walk with the Lord and push me in that aspect of life. My sister played college volleyball, so she has helped me be equipped for the trials and enjoyments of the student-athlete college experience.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic accomplishment is winning the 3A Arkansas state championship for the second year or winning the National Championship at USAV nationals. Both were incredible moments with the girls on my team, and I remember both instances very well.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My dad played football at the University of Georgia for one year and ran track at the University of Northern Colorado for three years. My brother played baseball at Ouachita Baptist University for one year and my sister played volleyball at Ouachita Baptist University for four years.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My mom’s chicken spaghetti is my favorite meal!
