LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty field hockey's Diane Saint Martin has been tabbed a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week honorable mention selection.

Saint Martin, a freshman goalkeeper, was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Saint Martin has now received six total weekly awards on the year, tied for the most on the team with sophomore defender Dara Semmartin.

Saint Martin's 12 saves were tied for the sixth most in a single game in program history. The rookie made nine of her 12 saves after halftime against a relentless Temple squad that saw the Owls outshoot the Lady Flames 16-0 between the third quarter, fourth quarter and first overtime.
