
Liberty Concludes Action at ITA Atlantic Regional

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Liberty women's tennis team finished play at the 2025 ITA Women's Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday night. The team concluded action with an 8-6 team singles record and 3-3 doubles mark.
Celina Joseph paced the team with a 3-1 singles mark. Maria Turchetto picked up a pair of victories (2-1). Joseph topped Maryland's Katherine Hung in the first round of the main draw, 6-4, 6-3. Her run came to an end against the event's No. 1 seed, Virginia's Annabelle Xu, with a 6-0, 6-2 loss.
Five Lady Flames began the weekend's action in the singles qualifying round, needing two wins to advance to the main draw of the bracket. Just Joseph and Turchetto advanced to the main draw of the tournament.
Yoanna Radulova served as Liberty's sole automatic qualifier to the main bracket. She opened play with a resilient 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 triumph over West Virginia's Audrey Moutama. The sophomore fell to Virginia's Isabelle Lacy with a tight 2-6, 7-6 (7), 6-3 defeat.
Radulova and Turchetto secured two doubles triumphs before falling to Navy's Olivia Fermo and Nicole Fu, 8-3.
