
Liberty to Host Unbeaten Lindenwood for an OVC Match Sunday

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Liberty Flames men's soccer team will welcome the unbeaten Lindenwood Lions to Osborne for an Ohio Valley Conference match on Sunday. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Liberty enters the match with a 2-1-1 record in OVC play and a 6-3-3 overall record. Head Coach Kelly Findley's team tied the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles 2-2 in their first conference road match of 2025 on Thursday.
Lindenwood brings a 3-0-1 OVC mark to Osborne Stadium and sits at the top of the conference standings. The Lions are unbeaten with a 10-0-2 overall record.
The contest will match the two top teams in the OVC standings. Lindenwood leads the conference with its 3-0-1 record and 10 points, while Liberty is tied for second with Houston Christian with identical 2-1-1 marks and seven points.
Lindenwood has won both meetings between the two teams. Last season, the Lions defeated the Flames 1-0 in St. Charles, Mo.

- Head coach Kelly Findley is in his seventh and final season at Liberty. Findley has announced his retirement from college coaching at the end of the season.
