The Flames rang in the New Year with an early Wednesday morning flight from the Mountain to the island of Nassau, Bahamas, to continue their preparation for the Bahamas Bowl where they will face Buffalo on Saturday.

The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 from Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. Kickoff for the game is set for 11 a.m. EST. The Liberty Flames Sports Network will also have live radio coverage with the pregame show beginning at 9:30 a.m. on game day.

The Flames will be making their sixth-consecutive bowl game appearance and have appeared in a bowl game each year since they could become bowl eligible in 2019.

The game will feature a pair of eight-win programs. The Flames finished the regular season with an 8-3 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Conference USA action. Buffalo posted an 8-4 record and was 6-2 in Mid-American Conference games.

Arriving shortly after Noon to the island, the Flames were given the rest of the day to enjoy the Atlantis resort, a lush, oceanside resort located on Paradise Island in The Bahamas.

The Atlantis resort features five distinct hotels: the iconic The Royal, the laid-back The Beach, the multigenerational The Coral, the ultraluxury The Cove and the residential-style The Reef. Atlantis Bahamas showcases the world's largest open-air marine habitat including Dolphin Cay dedicated to conservation, rehabilitation and education.
