Following a late-night victory at New Mexico State last Saturday, Liberty Head Football Coach Jamey Chadwell met with the media on Tuesday to recap the match-up against the Aggies and look ahead to this week's CUSA contest against UTEP.

After Chadwell's weekly presser, Flames' defensive end TJ Bush also addressed the media from the Media Room inside the Liberty Football Center. Bush finished the New Mexico State game with a career-high eight tackles.

Liberty won 42-28 at the Sun Bowl on Nov. 25, 2023, during its only previous meeting with UTEP. The Flames rushed for 441 yards to wrap up a 12-0 regular season.

The Flames have won a program-record 14 straight regular-season games, including nine consecutive CUSA victories and nine straight home wins.

2023 CUSA Co-Coach of the Year Jamey Chadwell is in his second year at Liberty. He is 15-1 with the Flames and owns a 46-7 coaching record dating back to the start of 2020.

RB Quinton Cooley has recorded back-to-back 100-yard rushing games to begin 2024, giving him nine in his first 16 contests as a Flame. He posted five carries for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter at New Mexico State.

WR Treon Sibley caught five passes for a career-high 155 yards at New Mexico State. He currently ranks No. 6 nationally with 264 receiving yards, thanks to a pair of 100-yard efforts.

The Liberty defense held New Mexico State to 84 second-half yards and scored a fourth quarter touchdown of its own. Quinton Reese forced a fumble, which CJ Bazile, Jr. returned 22 yards for a score.
