
Foster and Hudson Named to CUSA All-Academic Team

LYNCHBURG, VA. – Liberty's Cam Foster and Todd Hudson have been selected to the 2024 CUSA Baseball All-Academic team, the conference announced this afternoon.
The team honors players for their achievements both in the classroom and on the field. The CUSA squad is selected by a vote of the conference's academic coordinators.
Foster has played in 50 games, all starts, for Liberty at third base this season. The junior from Douglasville, Ga., enters the weekend hitting .258 with eight home runs, 33 RBI and 30 runs scored. The third baseman has 12 multi-hit games and nine multi-RBI games on the season. He was named to the 2024 CUSA Preseason All-Conference team.
Off the field, Foster has posted a 3.63 GPA in mechanical engineering and earned inclusion on the 2023-24 CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Hudson has seen action both in the field and on the mound this season for the Flames. The two-way player has served as Liberty's designated hitter in 32 games and has made 11 appearances on the mound. The sophomore is hitting .260 with eight home runs, 34 RBI and 26 runs scored in 39 games. As a pitcher, the right-hander has made nine starts. He has posted a 1-4 record with a 6.67 ERA over 27 innings. He has struck out 15 and walked 21.
A business major from Lexington, S.C., Hudson has posted a 3.96 GPA in the classroom. He also has earned inclusion not only on the 2023-24 CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll but was rewarded with a Commissioner's Academic Medal, given to CUSA student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better.
