Turning Point
- Liberty led 4-0 after three innings, as Rachel Roupe hit two-run homers in both the first and third innings.
- Savannah Jessee later made it 9-1 Liberty with her first career home run, a two-run blast in the fifth. Longwood extended the game with a two-run homer by Hiatt in the bottom of the fifth inning.
- Liberty outhit Longwood 8-6 for the game, while the Lancers committed the game's lone error. The Lady Flames turned a double play, while both teams left four runners on base.
- Liberty's Tyler Oubre (2-2), making her first start since March 17 against Jacksonville State, earned her second win of the season. She allowed three runs on six hits in six innings pitched, walking one and fanning two. Katie Love pitched a scoreless seventh inning.
- Er'ron Burton (1-10) yielded six runs (four earned) on four hits, with two walks and one strikeout in 3 1/3 innings. Cierra Gawryluk gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits, walking two and fanning one.
- Roupe went 2-for-4 with two homers, four TBI and two runs scored, while Jessee batted 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and one run. Mary Claire Wilson went 1-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored.
- For Longwood, Maggie Hiatt hit 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and one run, while Lauren Taylor went 2-for-3 with a solo home run.
- Longwood leads Liberty 44-37 in the all-time series. However, the Lady Flames have won all six meetings since leaving the Big South Conference following the 2018 season.
- Roupe registered her fourth two-homer game of the season and seventh of her career. Her four multiple-homer contests this season are the second most in a single year in program history, trailing only Jessica Moore's six in 2005.
- Roupe is also in sole possession of second place in program history with seven career multiple-homer games, trailing only Jessica Moore (11 from 2005-07)
- Roupe passed former teammate Caroline Hudson (2020-23) into sixth in program history with 36 career home runs. She also passed both Beth Bennett (2006-09) and Sarah Robertson (2016-19) into eighth all-time at Liberty with 128 career RBI.
- Wilson is now tied with Kelly Strickland (2009-12), Sammi Shivock (2011-14) and Devyn Howard (2021-23) for eighth in program history with 114 career runs scored.
- Jessee is one of 12 Liberty hitters to record a home run this season.
- Jessee has now recorded back-to-back two-hit games, her first two career multiple-hit contests.
