Liberty Celebrates Senior Day with 4-0 Victory against Radford

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The No. 71 ranked Lady Flames honored five seniors following a 4-0 victory over Radford on Friday afternoon. The match was held at the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center.
Liberty inserted its five seniors, Esther Lovato, Marina Davtyan, Tiffany Nguyen, Priscila Janikian and Elsa Kirch, into Friday's doubles lineup. Lovato and Kirch secured a 6-1 triumph, Davtyan and Janikian earned a 6-3 win and Nguyen with Parra Romero grabbed a 6-3 win.
The Lady Flames held a more traditional singles lineup and continued to roll the Highlanders. Seniors Lovato and Davtyan grabbed the first two singles match points before freshman Sadie Daavettila earned the clinching point.
Liberty improves to a perfect 9-0 mark at home and builds on its all-time mark against Radford to 17-7.

- Liberty's pair of Esther Lovato and Elsa Kirch dominated Michaela Stephens and Brooke Murphy 6-1 in the No. 3 doubles match.
- The Lady Flames clinched the doubles point with a court two victory as Marina Davtyan and Priscila Janikian breezed by Ameek Batth and Lexi Smolder 6-3 on court two.
- With the doubles point already clinched Tiffany Nguyen and Maria Juliana Parra Romero and Tiffany Nguyen (4-4) topped Julia Abrams and Emily Brandow 6-3.

- Lovato (8-4) grabbed career singles win No. 115 with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Smolder in the No. 4 singles match.
- Liberty gained a 3-0 advantage on court five with Davtyan (7-3) besting Rachel Ekanem 6-2. 6-3.
- The Lady Flames secured the match-winning fourth point in the No. 6 singles match. Sadie Daavettila (4-3) topped Murphy 6-2, 6-4.
