
Liberty Storms Back to Down Sam Houston 6-4

The Flames tied the game with four runs in the seventh inning and then, took the lead in the eighth inning by rallying for two runs with two outs. After second baseman Aidan Sweatt doubled, catcher Maccadin Dye ripped a double into the left field corner to give Liberty its first lead of the contest. Designated hitter Todd Hudson followed with an RBI single.
In the ninth, Ben Blair pitched out of a bases-loaded jam to close out the Liberty victory.
Dye had three hits with two RBI and scored two runs to lead the Flames. Third baseman Cam Foster also had three hits for the Flames.
Sam Houston broke up a pitchers' duel between Liberty starting pitcher Ryan Butler and Bearkats right-hander Coltin Atkinson with three runs in the sixth inning.
Liberty improves to 3-1 in CUSA and 11-14 overall. Sam Houston drops to 3-4 in CUSA and 17-10 overall.
