Women's Day Two Recap
All-American Katie Urbine's first pole vault competition as a sophomore resulted in a 12-11.5 clearance for the runner-up spot.
Sophomore Eva Whiteman high jumped an indoor personal-best 5-7. That tied her for fifth place in the event and ranks No. 8 all-time for the Lady Flames.
Another Lady Flame who entered her name onto Liberty's all-time top 10 on Friday was freshman Bethany Tate. Her 44-4.25 shot put earned third place in the event and No. 10 on the Lady Flames' all-time chart. She was joined in the top five by classmate Tabby DeJong (fifth place, 41-1.75).
Ahvon Donell opened her senior season by clocking 8.59 for third place in the women's 60 hurdles final.
Program record holder Kate Goodyear placed fourth in the women's 1,000 in 2:49.77, pacing a trio of Lady Flames under the 3:00 mark. Jessica Palisca took seventh in 2:55.18 with freshman Rachel Hill finishing ninth in 2:59.41.
