
Flames Place 10 Players on CUSA All-Conference Teams

Liberty placed 10 players on the 2024 Conference USA Football All-Conference teams, which were released earlier today by the league office. Â

The Flames had four first-team all-conference selections, followed by three players named to the second-team all-conference listing. Additionally, Liberty had four honorable mention selections, including one player who was also named to the second team.

Liberty's four first-team all-conference selections each came on the offensive side of the ball – running back Quinton Cooley, along with offensive linemen Aaron Fenimore, Xavior Gray and Jordan White.

Cooley ranked second in the league and No. 19 in the country with 1,254 rushing yards. He also ranked second in CUSA and No. 26 in the country with 13 touchdowns.

Liberty's three second-team all-conference honorees were each on the defensive side of the field – defensive end TJ Bush, linebacker Joseph Carter and defensive back Brylan Green.

Bush ranked fourth in the conference in sacks (5.5 sacks/0.50 per game), while Carter paced the Flames with a career high 83 tackles (41 solo, 42 assisted).

Green, who was also named to the honorable mention list as a punt returner, finished the regular season with 32 tackles (21 solo, 11 assisted) and two pass breakups. He also averaged 13.56 yards per punt return with a long return of 45 yards.

Liberty's final three all-conference honorees were named to the honorable mention squad – quarterback Kaidon Salter (1,886 passing yards, 15 touchdowns), defensive end CJ Bazile, Jr. (34 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss) and defensive back A'Khori Jones (48 tackles, three pass breakups).

The Flames are now preparing for their sixth-straight bowl game appearance. Liberty, representing Conference USA, and Buffalo, representing the Mid-American Conference, will square off in the Bahamas Bowl on January 4.

The game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 from Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. Kickoff for the game is set for 11 a.m. EST.
