Mills Honored as CUSA WBB Freshman of the Week

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Thanks to a career-best scoring outburst at Tennessee on Saturday, Liberty guard Avery Mills has been named CUSA Freshman of the Week.
Mills came off the bench to tally 19 points in 20 minutes during the Lady Flames' 109-93 setback. The Lynchburg, Va., native connected on 7-of-9 from the field and 3-of-5 from three-point range while also notching two assists, a steal and a rebound. Mills recorded a team-best +11 plus/minus during her time on the court.
Liberty (2-2) will return to action Sunday afternoon at Towson (0-4). Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m. at TU Arena, and the game will air on both the Monumental Sports Network and FloCollege.
