LYNCHBURG, Va. – Florida native TJ Drain has been added to the Liberty men's basketball roster for the 2025-26 school year.
Drain is a 6-8 forward from Windermere, Fla. who currently attends Windermere High School.
"TJ Drain is a fantastic leader as well as a very good basketball player with all of the measurables who is only scratching the surface of the kind of player he is going to be," said Liberty Men's Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay. "Like all of our signees, he comes from a terrific high school program and has an incredibly bright future as a Flame."
Drain was a first team all-state selection and Player of the Year runner-up during his junior season at Windermere High School. The forward averaged 19.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game while shooting 60 percent from the field. Drain set a new school single-game record with 36 points.
Drain and the Windermere Wolverines posted a 20-9 record and advanced to the region semifinals during the 2023-24 campaign.
As a sophomore, Drain helped the Wolverines to a 21-8 record and regional final berth while averaging 2.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 1.2 bpg.
Drain has also played for E1T1 Rebels, Loyalty United and 1 Family.
Drain is the third announced signee for Liberty men's basketball, joining Zander Carter (Greenup, Ky.) and Drew Grimes (Goldsboro, N.C.).
