Cox Paces Liberty on Dr. Sander Invitational Day 2

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Kacy Cox was Liberty's top performer on the Flames' light Saturday of activity at the Dr. Sander Invitational/Columbia Challenge. She took 17th place in the women's triple jump at The Armory.
Cox's top mark of the day measured 37-7.75. It was the second-best effort of the junior's career, trailing only her 38-6 effort from last Saturday's Brant Tolsma Invitational.
Albrey Gossett was Liberty's only other competitor on the meet's second and final day. He clocked 22.95 for 37th place in his first 200-meter race as a Flame. Gossett had previously placed seventh in Friday's men's 60 hurdles competition with a season-best time of 8.06 (No. 5 in program history).

The Flames will return to Lynchburg for their first of three February home meets. The Liberty Open is slated for Feb. 3 at the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
