PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Liberty men's tennis team was edged out by Yale on the second day of the Penn Invitational on Saturday morning. Yale triumphed in five of nine total matches.
The Flames took two of three doubles matches but secured just two of the seven singles matches, won by Thando Longwe-Smit and Chase Robinson.
Liberty owns a 13-6 overall match record (4-2 doubles, 9-5 singles) across the first two days of the tournament. On the first day of the event, Liberty posted a perfect 7-0 singles mark and 2-1 doubles record against Navy.
The Flames secured doubles victories from the pairs of Rafael Marques Da Silva and Thando Longwe-Smit (6-4) and Chase Robinson/Matija Samardzic (7-5).
