Flames first-year head coach Jamey Chadwell held his first in-season media availability session on Tuesday morning from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.

Prior to Liberty's second practice of the week, Chadwell, along with senior wide receiver Noah Frith and senior defensive tackle Kendy Charles, previewed the Flames' upcoming match-up with Bowling Green.

Liberty will kick off its 51st football season and its first as a Conference USA member by hosting Bowling Green, Saturday afternoon at Williams Stadium.

Chadwell took over the reins as Liberty's 10th head coach in program history on December 4, 2022. He enters the season one win away from 100 for his career (99-57 career record).

Liberty is 0-1 against Bowling Green, who it is meeting for the first time in 20 years. The Flames are 3-1 versus MAC opponents as an FBS member, improving to 5-10 all-time against the conference.
The Flames will play seven home games this season. Liberty is 24-6 at Williams Stadium since joining the FBS in 2018, including 4-2 in 2022.

The Flames were picked second behind Western Kentucky in the CUSA preseason poll. WR Noah Frith, OL X'Zauvea Gadlin, DL Kendy Charles, S Quinton Reese and K Nick Brown were named to the CUSA preseason watch list.
