Liberty concluded its preseason training camp on Friday afternoon, welcoming fans back to Williams Stadium during Fan Appreciation Day.
Â
The event, which was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, allowed fans to get their first look at Liberty's 2023 squad.
Â
The Flames Club also hosted a pregame tailgate event, while the football team thanked their fans with a post-practice autograph session.
Â
During the 75-minute spring, fans got their first glimpse of Liberty's new-look offense under first-year head coach Jamey Chadwell. The Flames ran several periods of 11-on-11 drills, showcasing their talents before the Liberty faithful.
Â
With Liberty University classes set to begin on Monday, the Flames Football team will have Sunday and Monday off before returning to the practice field on Tuesday. When the Flames return to the practice field, Liberty will start its preparations practices for its season opener against Bowling Green on September 2 at Williams Stadium.
Â
Prior to the Fan Appreciation Day scrimmage, Chadwell met with the media on Thursday to provide them with an update on Liberty's progress during August Training Camp.
