• Liberty will continue its seven-game road trip to begin 2023 when it visits Duke on Wednesday and Winthrop for a three-game series this weekend.
• For the 17th time in the last 18 seasons, Liberty opened its year on the road with a three-game series at the No. 18 Southern Miss last weekend. The Flames dropped all three contests and will enter Wednesday's contest looking for their first win of 2023.
• Last season, the Flames posted a 37-22 overall record and, for the first time in program history, appeared in an NCAA Regional for the third consecutive season. Liberty received an at-large selection to the NCAA Gainesville, Fla., Regional in 2022.
• After finishing 19-11 and tying for first place in the ASUN East Division in 2022, Liberty has been voted to finish on top of the ASUN Conference in its final season in the league in 2023. Liberty will move to Conference USA in July of this year.
• Head Coach Scott Jackson is in his seventh season at Liberty. The 2021 ASUN Coach of the Year has led the Flames to a 195-119 record and three NCAA Regional appearances, the most of any coach in program history.
• Catcher Gray Betts recorded the first three-hit game for a Liberty hitter this season on Sunday at Southern Miss. Betts has scored 141 runs during his career and enters the week 12 runs shy of breaking into the program's top 10 in career runs scored.
• Transfer Victor Castillo had three hits and Camden Troyer hit Liberty's first home run of the year this past weekend at Southern Miss.
