Following a record-setting 11th victory on Saturday, Liberty finds itself inside both national polls at No. 22 entering the final week of the regular season.
    Â
Liberty moved up three spots in this week's Associated Press poll to No. 22, its third-straight week in the national top 25 ranking.
    Â
After receiving votes in the Coaches Poll for the last six weeks, Liberty cracked the rankings top 25 to match its Associate Poll ranking.
    Â
Liberty is coming off a 49-25 victory over UMass on Saturday during the Flames' final home regular season game of 2023. The win set a new single-season record for wins, surpassing the Flames' win total in 2008 (10-2) and 2020 (10-1).
    Â
Liberty is off to its best start in school history with an 11-0 record and a 7-0 mark in its first season as a member of Conference USA. The Flames will host the CUSA Football Championship game on Dec. 1 against New Mexico State.
    Â
Since moving to the FBS level in 2018, Liberty has been nationally ranked in three different seasons (2020, 2022 and 2023). The Flames have been ranked 13 total weeks by the Associated Press and 10 weeks in the Coaches poll.
    Â
Last year, Liberty was ranked No. 23 in both polls on Oct. 30 and No. 19 after its upset win over Arkansas, the program's first-ever victory over a SEC program.
    Â
Liberty's highest national ranking was following the 2020 season when Liberty was ranked No. 17 in the final Associated Press poll and No. 18 in the last Coaches Poll.
