
4 Flames to Compete at ITA Men’s All-American Championships

Four Liberty Flames men’s tennis players will head to Tulsa, Okla. for the prestigious 2022 ITA Men’s All-American Championships.
The nine-day event will begin on Saturday, with pre-qualifying being held then and on Sunday. The Michael D. Case Tennis Center at Tulsa and Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park will serve as the host facilities for the tournament.
The Flames’ Josh Wilson, Rafael Marques Da Silva, Christiaan Worst and Beau Pelletier have been invited to compete in the event which features the best players in college tennis. All four Liberty players are making their second tournament appearances this fall, as they all competed at the season-opening Penn Invitational (Sept. 16-18).

Tournament Breakdown
Josh Wilson and Rafael Marques Da Silva are competing at the event for a second straight year. Meanwhile, Christiaan Worst and Beau Pelletier are making their first appearances.
At last year’s event, Liberty won nine total singles matches. The Flames’ Wilson and Zion Heaven paced the team with three victories apiece at the tournament. Goncalo Ferreira earned two wins, and Deji Thomas-Smith was victorious in one match.
Of the four Flames competing at the ITA Men’s All-American Championships, Pelletier (2-1) and Marques Da Silva (2-1) have the best singles marks coming in.
