Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his weekly press conference, Monday, from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.
During the weekly press event, Freeze reflected on Liberty’s 45-17 home win over Old Dominion and previewed the Friday night matchup against Syracuse, this weekend.
Liberty (3-0) takes to the road Friday night for its second visit to Syracuse (2-1) in as many seasons. The Flames' 38-21 triumph at the Carrier Dome in 2020 marked their first-ever win over an ACC opponent.
Liberty and Syracuse are squaring off for the third consecutive season. The road team has won each of the first two matchups between the Flames and Orange.
Syracuse is the lone ACC opponent on Liberty's schedule this season. In 2020, the Flames were 2-1 versus ACC squads with wins at Syracuse and Virginia Tech and a loss at NC State.
