
Liberty's Winning Streak Reaches Double Digits With 8-0 Victory Over Bellarmine

Liberty earned its 10th straight win, posting an 8-0, six-inning victory over Bellarmine in game one of a doubleheader, Sunday at Kamphuis Field at Liberty Softball Stadium.
Liberty (31-12) has now posted a program-record six ASUN shutouts in a row, while the Knights fall to 6-27 on the season, 0-13 in ASUN play.
The Lady Flames are now 4-0 against the Knights on the season. Liberty swept Bellarmine on March 19-20 in Louisville, Ky., outscoring the Knights 17-0 in that three-game series.
Liberty honored its four graduating seniors – Amber Bishop-Riley, Autumn Bishop, Emily Sweat and Madison Via – with a pregame senior day ceremony.

- Liberty outhit Bellarmine 10-2. The Lady Flames left nine runners on base, while Bellarmine stranded two.
- Emily Kirby (10-4) earned her 10th win of the season, running her consecutive scoreless innings pitched streak to 26. She allowed two hits, striking out four and walking one in five innings of work. Naomi Jones tossed a 1-2-3 inning, striking out one.
- Carson Goatley (4-10) drew the loss, allowing six runs on six hits, walking two and striking out one in 1 2/3 innings pitched. Natalie Magnus allowed two runs on four hits, walking six and fanning one in 3 2/3 innings.
- Emily Sweat posted her third straight two-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI. Kara Canetto batted 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Devyn Howard went 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Madison Via tripled and drove in one run.
