Liberty Wins 4 Matches on Saturday at North Texas Invite

Liberty picked up two doubles and two singles victories on the second day of the UNT Mean Green Invite, Saturday at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
Liberty’s victorious doubles units were Alexandra Almborg/Eloise Saraty and Micaela Ode Mitre/Willa Rogers. The Lady Flames’ singles wins came from Esther Lovato and Almborg.
Key Stats & Notes
• Liberty’s Almborg and Saraty (No. 1) prevailed over Saki Oyama and Liisa Vehvilainen of North Texas, 8-6.
• The Lady Flames’ Ode Mitre and Rogers (No. 3) topped VCU’s Anja Draskovic and Nina Sorkin 8-4.
• Playing in her home state of Texas, No. 120 Lovato defeated UNT’s Vehvailainen in two sets, 6-3, 6-1. Lovato is the only Lady Flame to be 2-0 this weekend.
• Almborg faced off against VCU’s Yelizaverta Karlova, with Almborg prevailing 6-4, 6-4.
