Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his weekly press conference, Monday, from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.
During the weekly press event, Freeze reflected on Liberty’s 31-28 setback at ULM and previewed the Flames’ road game at North Texas.
Liberty (5-2) will look to bounce back from the loss at ULM and become bowl eligible on Saturday, when the Flames travel to North Texas (1-5, 0-3 C-USA).
The Flames are visiting Apogee Stadium for the first time. During the teams' only previous meeting (Sept. 22, 2018), North Texas handed host Liberty its first-ever setback at the FBS level, 47-7.
The Mean Green are the only Conference USA team ever to defeat Liberty. The Flames are 7-1 all-time versus C-USA opponents, including a 3-0 record this season. Liberty has defeated Old Dominion, UAB and Middle Tennessee by an average score of 40.7 to 14.0.
