As the Flames head into their summer workout program, 11 of Liberty's players have garnered preseason accolades.
In the recently released Phil Steele 2026 Preseason All-CUSA team, the Flames placed 11 players on the various all-conference listings.
Joker Brenton Williams was the Flames' lone representative on the first team listing. The redshirt junior saw playing time in all 12 games in 2025, starting two contests. He finished the season with 27 tackles (11 solo, 16 assisted), while ranking second on the team with 4.0 tackles for a loss and 3.0 sacks.
The Flames had three players named to the second team listing – offensive linemen Aaron Fenimore and D.J. Geth and linebacker Derrell Farrar.
Fenimore (center) and Geth (left tackle) were anchors on Liberty's offensive line, starting all 12 games in 2025.
Farrar earned Conference USA honorable-mention all-conference honors after leading the team with 71 tackles (38 solo, 33 assisted).
Liberty placed four players on the third team, including a pair of newcomers to the 2026 roster.
Running back Kayne Udoh (from Arizona State) and wide receiver Makai Jackson (from Indiana) where joined on the third team by returning players offensive lineman Christian Williams and defensive tackle Nathan Pirolli.
All three Flames on the fourth team are new to Liberty's 2026 roster – tight end LaKelsey Johnson, Jr. (from Baylor), safety Jayden Davis (from Georgia Southern) and running back Peyton Jones (from Duke), who was named to the listing as a kick return specialist.
