2021 ASUN Men's Tennis Schedule
The Liberty Flames men's tennis team has announced its spring 2021 ASUN Conference schedule.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing travel restrictions, the eight-team conference will be divided into North (Liberty, Lipscomb, North Alabama and Bellarmine) and South (FGCU, North Florida, Stetson and Kennesaw State) divisions. Teams will play each team in their division twice for a total of six conference matches.
The schedule is tentative and subject to change. The Flames' non-conference slate will be released at a later date.
Liberty will square off with Lipscomb, North Alabama and Bellarmine twice each in ASUN play, meeting once on each school's home courts. The Flames will begin conference play at North Alabama March 19, before returning home to take on the Lions on April 3 at the Liberty Tennis Complex.
Liberty will head to Nashville, Tenn. for a match at Lipscomb, March 21. Lipscomb will make the trek to Lynchburg to face the Flames on April 1. Liberty will travel to ASUN newcomer Bellarmine for a contest on March 28. The Flames will welcome the Bellarmine Knights, April 10, in what will be the ASUN regular-season finale.
Liberty (12-11, 6-1 ASUN) finished second in the ASUN and earned the No. 2 seed for conference championship in 2019 in its first year in the league. The Flames did not play any ASUN matches during the spring 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
