Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his weekly press conference, Monday morning, from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.
During the 25-plus minute press event, Freeze reflected on the Flames 8-0 start after a home victory over Western Carolina, moving up in the AP Top 25 poll and began to preview Liberty's matchup against NC State on Saturday.
The Flames are 8-0 to start a season for the first time in program history and have won 10 straight games overall (second-longest active streak in FBS). A win on Saturday would equal Liberty's program record of 11 consecutive victories (Oct. 20, 2007-Oct. 11, 2008).
Liberty has topped Syracuse and Virginia Tech for its first two ACC wins in program history. The Flames will attempt to even their all-time series vs. NC State at 1-1.
