The Lady Flames tennis team will play their second and third matches of a five-match homestand, taking on ASUN opponents Stetson and North Florida on Thursday and Saturday.
Liberty (10-6), winner of seven of its last matches overall and currently in second place in the ASUN, will welcome the Stetson Hatters (10-6, 1-2 ASUN) to town. First serve is pegged for 11 a.m. at the Cook Tennis Center.
The Lady Flames will then welcome first place North Florida (10-6, 3-0 ASUN) to Lynchburg for an 11 a.m. match on Saturday at the Cook Tennis Center.
Liberty is coming off a 4-3 victory on Saturday at home over Lipscomb in its inaugural ASUN home match. The Lady Flames' victory was their third straight and ended the Bisons' six-match winning streak. The win was also the 100th career victory at Liberty for Lady Flames head coach Jeff Maren. Maren is the winningest coach in program history and holds a 100-62 overall mark and 45-11 record in conference matches.
Stetson enters the match with a 1-2 mark in the ASUN. The Hatters most recently earned a 4-3 triumph over Florida Gulf Coast at home, last Saturday.
The UNF Ospreys are the only remaining unbeaten ASUN squad at 3-0 in the league. They have defeated FGCU, Stetson and NJIT in conference matches, this spring. The Ospreys bested NJIT on the road by a 4-3 count, last Saturday in Newark, N.J.
Both Stetson and North Florida are first time opponents for the Lady Flames.
