Liberty Faces Lipscomb in ASUN Championship Game

It will be round three between Liberty and Lipscomb, and this time it is for a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Flames will travel to Lipscomb for the championship game as Liberty has made it in back-to-back championship games for just the second time in school history. Back in 1996 and 1997, the Flames made the Big South Conference Championship Final.
Liberty and Lipscomb split the season series as both teams won on the road. The two teams were named ASUN regular season champions as the two finished 14-2 in conference play.

- Liberty became the ninth team in the country to reach 10 road wins.
- Liberty claimed its third ever regular season conference title. In 1997 and 2004, Liberty won the Big South regular season title.
- Liberty's 27 wins is the most in a single season during its Division I era, surpassing the 1997 and 2009 teams, who won 23 games.
- Liberty currently has five players (Cabbil, Homesley, Pacheco-Ortiz, James and Baxter-Bell) on Liberty's Top 50 all-time scoring list, which is the most a Liberty team has had in a single season.
- Cabbil became Liberty's winningest player in school history with 83 wins over the past four seasons, besting the previous record of 79 set from 1983-86.

- Caleb Homesley and Scottie James were the first Liberty duo to earn all-conference honors in the same season since 2004-05, when Liberty was in the Big South Conference.
