The Starting 5 - Liberty's Top Storylines
• ASUN fourth-place team Liberty (9-13, 5-4 ASUN) will host conference-leading FGCU (18-4, 9-0 ASUN) at the Vines Center for the first time, Saturday.

• Liberty has won five of its last six games, while FGCU comes to Lynchburg with a nine-game winning streak.

• Liberty Head Coach Carey Green will be going for his 450th career victory on Saturday. He and FGCU Head Coach Karl Smesko both rank among the top 25 active NCAA Division I head coaches for career winning percentage.

• Bridgette Rettstatt played well during the Lady Flames' conference opener at FGCU, leading the team in points (12), rebounds (8) and assists (3). Rettstatt has scored in double figures in eight of nine ASUN games, including a trio of double-doubles.

• Conversely, Emily Lytle was limited to six points on 1-of-8 shooting at FGCU on Jan. 5. The Lady Flames' leading scorer has played well of late, however, averaging 16.0 ppg and 2.8 three-pointers per game over the last six outings.

Notes and Anecdotes - Liberty vs. FGCU
• Liberty will welcome ASUN Conference leader FGCU to the Vines Center for the first time.

• The Lady Flames and Eagles are two of the conference's hottest teams. Liberty had won a season-high five straight games before losing to Stetson on Tuesday. Meanwhile, FGCU is riding a nine-game winning streak, all of which have been conference victories.

• Liberty represented the Big South Conference in the NCAA Tournament 17 times in the last 22 years, while FGCU has earned the ASUN's automatic NCAA bid five times in the last seven seasons. Both teams have recorded a pair of NCAA Tournament victories.

• Both teams' head coaches (Liberty's Carey Green and FGCU's Karl Smesko) rank among the NCAA's top 25 active coaches for winning percentage. Smesko recorded his 450th win with the Eagles on Jan. 27 vs. North Florida, while Green's next victory will be No. 450 with the Lady Flames.

• The two teams play contrasting styles of basketball. FGCU set an NCAA Division I record by making 431 three-pointers last season and ranks No. 2 nationally with 251 triples in 2018-19. Meanwhile, Liberty ranked among the nation's top 20 rebounding teams for the 16th straight season a year ago. This season, the Lady Flames sit No. 45 in the NCAA with a +6.0 rebound margin.

Home Sweet Home
• After playing only six of their first 20 games at the Vines Center to start the year, Liberty is now in the midst of a season-long four-game homestand.

• Liberty, which is 4-4 at home this season, is 295-77 all-time at the Vines Center, which opened in 1990. The Lady Flames have won 84.5 percent (224-41) of their home games under Carey Green.

• Liberty has played strong defense at home this season, holding opponents to 59.1 ppg on 38.2 percent shooting.

Liberty vs. the Sunshine State
• Liberty is 5-11 all-time when facing opponents from Florida, including 2-6 this season. The Lady Flames have won two of their last three meetings with Sunshine State opponents, including a 69-53 home win over North Florida on Jan. 19 and an 85-75 overtime victory at Jacksonville on Jan. 26.

Liberty vs. the ASUN
• Liberty is 13-11 all-time versus ASUN Conference opponents (at the time of the meeting).

• The Lady Flames' most recent ASUN matchup prior to this season was a 70-27 victory over Lipscomb on Nov. 26, 2011 at the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament in Nashville, Tenn.

• Liberty owns a 6-5 record against current ASUN members, including wins over Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb (2x), NJIT and North Florida and losses to FGCU, Jacksonville and Stetson (3x).
