Liberty's Rebekah Anderson and Kalani Soli fell in their match to a nationally-ranked opponent in pre-qualifying of the 2018 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday at Pepperdine's Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.
Anderson and Soli took on Oregon's duo of Shweta Sandwan and Julia Eshet, currently the No. 52 doubles team in the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Rankings. The Ducks' pairing prevailed 8-2.
Anderson and Soli are just the second pairing in Liberty women's tennis program history to compete at the prestigious event.
The duo will be back in action on Sunday, facing Tennessee's Gabby Schuck and Sadie Hammond in a backdraw match.
