With the warmer weather having finally hit the area, Liberty Athletics has turned its attention to hosting Central Virginia's premier golf tournament, Friday, June 8, at the London Downs Golf Club in Forest, Va.
The 28th annual Liberty University Athletics Golf Tournament, presented by Ford Mays Wealth Management, is widely considered one of the elite fundraising golf events held annually in the greater Lynchburg area.
Proceeds from the event help Liberty Athletics meet its three-fold mission to train Champions for Christ, provide a world-class student-athlete experience and achieve victory with integrity.
Once again, the golf tournament will feature both a morning and afternoon flights, creating scheduling flexibility for all of its 200-plus participants.
Each four-person team will be awarded a prize during the event. Also, many golfers will receive door prizes (supplied by Lynchburg area businesses) for such things as dinners at quality dining establishments, golf equipment, hotel packages and Liberty Athletics apparel.
Additionally, every participant will receive a substantial gift bag, which includes a Liberty Nike Dri-fit golf pullover, Nike hat, tournament golf balls, coupons and promotional items supplied by sponsors.
Registration for the event is still open. Individuals can register for $150.00 per person, while a foursome can enter the event for $500.00.
