• Liberty and Campbell will be meeting for the 49th time on Friday. The two schools have split their last six meetings (3-3) and the all-time series between the two schools is tied at 24-24.

Out on the Road
Nine of Liberty's next 12 contests will be played on the road. Along with Big South series at Campbell and High Point, the Flames will have three midweek games away from Liberty Baseball Stadium. Liberty will visit Richmond, Virginia and Wake Forest. The Flames only home games during the stretch is a three-game conference series with Charleston Southern.
Liberty has posted a 4-7 record on the road, this season. Liberty went 2-2 on a four-game road swing, this past week.
The Flames have hit .264 as a team on the road this season. Shortstop Cam Locklear leads the Flames with a .326 road batting average. First baseman Dylan Allen and second baseman Trey McDyre have each hit .317.
Yacyk Reaches 100 RBI
With a fielder's choice ground out in the third inning of Liberty's win over Wake Forest on Wednesday, designated hitter Andrew Yacyk reached 100 RBI for his career. The redshirt senior has averaged 30 RBI over his previous three seasons in a Liberty uniform and has seven RBI in 2018.
The Hagerstown, Md. native is also three doubles away from breaking into the program's top 10 career doubles list. Yacyk, who has a career .281 batting average, has 44 career doubles. Former teammate Alex Close (2012-15) and Tyler Bream (2009-11) are currently tied for 10th on the list with 47.
Around the Diamond
- 1B Dylan Allen enters the weekend with a seven-game hitting streak. Allen hit .412 (7-17) in the Flames' four games, last week. He is among the Big South leaders in runs scored (fourth) and on base percentage (sixth).
- 2B Trey McDyre has hit .368 (14-38) over his last 10 games to lead the Flames. The sophomore has two or more hits in five of the contests.
- 3B Tyler Galazin gave the Flames the lead with a two-out, two-run single in the fifth inning in Wednesday's victory over Wake Forest.
- SS Cam Locklear had three hits on Saturday in a win over Presbyterian, raising his batting average over .300 for the first time this seaosn. He has at least one hit in 18 of his last 20 games.
- RF Receiving his first start in the outfield, Ayden Karraker hit a grand slam, his first home run of the season, in Liberty's 11-6 win over Presbyterian, this past Saturday.
- After a team-leading 14 appearances out of the Liberty bullpen, RHP Garret Price will make his first start of the season on the mound for the Flames on Friday night.
