As the calendar winds down to the final days of 2017, the Liberty Flames Sports Network is looking back at the moments that made this athletics year special for Flames Nation.
Liberty Athletics Top Moments of 2017 continues today by looking at Moment No. 8, Liberty's student-athletes being featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays throughout the year.
Numerous times through the calendar year of 2017, the outstanding efforts of Liberty's student-athletes was featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 plays segments. Plays like Chris Turner's one-handed interception in August training camp, Jasmeen Click's driving catch on the softball diamond against Virginia Tech, Shaun Stocker's against VMI and Georgie Pacheco-Ortiz against Georgie State all featured the talents of Liberty's student-athletes on the national level.
The 2017 calendar year was another banner year in Liberty Athletics. Liberty won its 13th Big South Sasser Cup title and swept the Big South Sasser Cup, Men's All-Sport and Women's All-Sport trophy awards for the fourth time in athletics department history.
