Liberty Sweeps Big South XC Team Sportsmanship Awards

The 2017 Liberty men's and women's cross country teams both earned Big South Team Sportsmanship Awards this week, as voted upon by conference student-athletes.
The Lady Flames earned their first Big South Team Sportsmanship Award since 2014 and their conference-high sixth honor overall.
Meanwhile, the Flames garnered their conference-best fifth Big South Team Sportsmanship Award but first since 2010.
Liberty has now won a conference-high 66 Big South Team Sportsmanship Awards since the program was instituted in 2005-06. Head Coach Brant Tolsma's cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field squads have combined for 31 of those honors.
